Put Your Car on Ice — Ride on Two Wheels!

Swap the solo car ride for bike-powered commuting and join cyclists across the state—and around the world—for the annual Winter Bike to Work Day! Everyone — from seasoned commuters to first-timers — is invited to ride, explore, and enjoy the fresh winter air.

Winter Bike to Work Day encourages residents to choose biking for their commute—or part of their commute—even during the winter months. Whether traveling to work, school, errands, or other daily destinations, biking is a practical, year-round transportation option. Winter Bike to Work Day is a fun way to build confidence riding in colder conditions. It’s also the perfect warmup for June Bike Month and Bike to Work Day!

This annual event supports regional community goals related to cleaner air, public health, and reduced traffic congestion while promoting safe, active transportation choices.

Cycling is also a fun way to sneak in daily exercise, reduce stress, and start your day energized — yes, even in winter.
